Very odd immigration law passes in Arizona. I wonder what criteria they'll use to define criminal behavior. Anyone caught walking the Sonoran desert or suspected to be Mexican?

How not to do science (Sample 1)
If you want to be a good scientist do the opposite of this. Why do news organizations always fall into these traps?. Shouldn't they send someone to find out what's going in Zimbabwe?. Hey, the guy has a 1 in 32 chance of guessing right.
Thoughts
Need to develop collective leadership i.e. no one can take credit if many helped achieve the same goal.

More Fermi pulsars
A number of groups have been looking at unidentified Fermi sources with radio telescopes and it has paid off. Most of the new identifications are associated with millisecond pulsars. Still need to do more work to find the radio quiet ones.

This past Saturday New York celebrated the annual No Pants! subway ride. A bit cold for it but then again pantless rides are probably not out of the ordinary during the over-humid New York summers.

The American Astronomical Society meeting is at full steam in Washington, DC. The Kepler mission has reported its first 5 planets. Still no Earth-sized examples, but it will fly until 2012. A lot could happen until then.
