Heads up
A piece of the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS) might be falling near your house by the end of the month. But with 510,072,000 square kilometers of surface area (of which 71% is water), the chances of it hitting someone are a bit exaggerated.
Willman 1 and its stars
Willman 1 is a puzzling object that seems to straddle the line between star cluster and dwarf galaxy. There are so few stars in the field that is hard to make out a galaxy visually. One of our PhD students, Daniel Nieto has marked some of the purported Willman 1 stars that show this point nicely.
